To Create Shapes from Boundaries and Centroids
- Place a fence around the desired linear elements.
- Select the Create Shapes tool from the Topology Creation toolbox.
- Make any desired changes to line symbologies.
- (Optional)
Set the Force Complex option within the Create Shapes tool settings window.
If on, a complex shape is created.
If off, a simple shape is created. However, if the original elements that define the shape contain more than 100 vertices, a complex shape is created regardless of the Force Complex option setting.

Enter a data point to accept the fence.
Shortly, shapes are created from the linear elements.
